What you are asked

Every item asks one thing: how open you are to it in your own consensual adult sex life. You answer on a nine-point scale that runs from Hard limit through Not sure to Enthusiastic yes. You can skip any item, and you can stop at any time.

The items are ordered from more conventional to less conventional. That ordering is a provisional estimate of how far each item is commonly perceived to sit from mainstream social norms. It is not a ranking of what is normal, healthy, moral, or advanced, and it will be recalibrated as real population data accumulates.

How to answer

• Interest is not consent — Something can sound appealing and still be a no.
• Past experience is not permission — Having done something before does not mean you want it now.
• Uncertainty is a valid answer — Choose “Not sure” or skip an item rather than guessing.

How the Kinkprint Index is calculated

Each item carries a provisional norm-distance weight based on its position in the order, and each response carries a provisional interest weight. Your index is the weighted average of your scored answers, expressed on a 0–100 scale.

“Not sure” and skipped items are not scored — they are left out of both sides of the calculation rather than counted as a no. You need at least 18 scored answers before an index is shown, because a handful of answers cannot summarise much.

Both sets of weights are product heuristics, not validated psychometrics. A higher index is not better than a lower one. The index does not measure sexual skill, maturity, health, morality, or compatibility.

How comparisons work

If enough people have voluntarily contributed anonymous results for your survey version, you will see where your index falls among those profiles — with the sample size, survey version, and date range stated alongside it. Until that reference sample exists, Kinkprint says so instead of showing a number. Kinkprint never fabricates statistics.

Kinkprint participant benchmarks are based on people who voluntarily completed this survey. They may not represent the general population.

What this is not

Your Kinkprint supports communication. It is not advance consent. Consent must still be specific, informed, freely given, present, and reversible.

Kinkprint applies only to lawful activity involving informed, consenting adults with the capacity to consent.
